Manchester United are willing to sell Marcos Rojo this summer, as the Red Devils look to revamp their stagnant squad.
The Argentina international moved to Old Trafford for £16 million during Louis van Gaal’s first summer as manager in 2014, but the versatile defender has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular since.
Although injury has played a large part, Rojo has made just ten Premier League appearances this term and, according to the Mirror, he will sold at the end of the season to help finance some big-money buys.
The aforementioned article states that United are targeting several high- profile signings this summer to address their concerning slump and Rojo will be one of the current players to be sacrificed in order to facilitate such purchases.
It has been widely reported that Jose Mourinho will replace Van Gaal as manager at the end of the season, but Rojo – who can play at either left or centre-back – is set to depart whether the Portuguese tactician is appointed or not.
Just this week the 26-year-old stated his desire to return to Argentina at the end of his current contract in 2019, so that move might be brought forward with his United future very much in doubt.
