Manchester United are considering a bid for Bayer Leverkusen winger, Moussa Diaby ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are looking to add another winger to their ranks. And they have seen Diaby as a player that fits the bill and can be an upgrade to misfiring forward, Jadon Sancho.
There are now many wingers in Erik ten Hag’s team, including Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho.
23-year-old Diaby is establishing a reputation for being able to play anywhere across the front three, despite primarily being a right-winger. So his signing might potentially bring something new to United’s front-line.
Due to his outstanding ability to easily dribble past opponents, Diaby has been dubbed the “most explosive dribbler in the world”. His style of play is ideal for counter-attacking football by the Red Devils.
The France international has put up outstanding stats in 169 games across all competitions since joining Leverkusen in 2019. He has scored 49 goals and provided 48 assists.
In the 2022–23 season, Diaby had a productive season for Leverkusen. Plundering 14 goals and dishing out 11 assists to help the team finish in the top six of the Bundesliga. And progress to the UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
According to the report, Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Arsenal, who have a track record of interest in the former PSG star, could present competition for the Manchester team.

The report further asserts that after witnessing the 23-year-old Frenchman excel for them last season, Leverkusen would expect a sum of £65 million for him.
Furthermore, it is said that the circumstances surrounding United’s impending purchase may lead any transfer action on this front to be delayed.
