Despite just making 22 appearances and 18 starts this season, the 25-year-old has already scored 20 Serie A goals.

After scoring seven league goals the previous season, the Italy international joined Atalanta from Genoa in the summer.

And he has been a bigger impact than they could have imagined.

He established his reputation while on loan at Tigre from Boca Juniors, where he scored 30 goals in 48 games, earning a transfer to Italy.

He was born and nurtured in Argentina.

Premier League powerhouses are taking notice of his amazing form and are now rumored to be considering another huge deal, reports Metro.

According to the French newspaper Foot Mercato, Man Utd and Arsenal have “contacted the Bergamo management” regarding Retegui’s availability.

According to the source, Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa are both interested in the striker.

Since the flaming forward has a contract with Atalanta through 2028, the Italian team is not under any rush to sell, though he would demand a high price considering his current performance.

Atalanta paid Genoa €28m (£23.3m) for Retegui last summer and they would be charging interested parties a lot more than that if they come calling at the end of this season.
