Ralf Rangnick, the manager of Manchester United, said to have turned down the opportunity to take over at Bayern Munich.
Rangnick, who served as interim manager of United during the second half of the 2021/22 season, has been in charge of the Austria national team since leaving Old Trafford. He led them to Euro 2024 qualification and is signed until 2026.

But that didn’t stop Bayern from approaching him about their managerial job, with Thomas Tuchel leaving at the conclusion of the season. Bild, a German tabloid, said that they had been trying hard to recruit him in recent weeks.
But Rangnick is believed to have turned down their advances. It’s another setback for the Bundesliga heavyweights, who were originally battling with Liverpool for Xabi Alonso.
That was until the former midfielder signed to Bayer Leverkusen, where he will defend the club’s first title next season. Their attention then shifted to former boss Julian Nagelsmann.
However, he, too, turned down a return to his former club, instead extended his contract with the Germany national team ahead of their home event.
However, Rangnick is believed to have declined their advances. It’s another setback for the Bundesliga heavyweights, who were initially competing with Liverpool for Xabi Alonso.
That is, until the former midfielder signed with Bayer Leverkusen, where he will defend the club’s first title next season. Their focus switched to former boss Julian Nagelsmann.
He, too, declined a return to his former club, instead extending his contract with the Germany national team ahead of their home tournament.
