Referee Anthony Taylor made a mistake in the first half, placing the Arsenal wall 11.2 yards from Bruno Fernandes rather than the usual 10 yards, which appeared to help the home team.

Eriksen joked, “Very good, happy that the wall was about 15 metres away,” in response to a question concerning Fernande’s first-half goal, which was negated by Declan Rice’s equaliser in the second half.

“You saw how far back they were and it was beneficial for us.”

The fans in the stadium certainly felt uplifted after the goal, reports the Mirror.

Eriksen remarked: “We felt relief from the fans in the stadium after the goal.”

“If you look at the chances, we could have won it,” Eriksen continued, reflecting on the result that sent United up to 14th position in the Premier League.

The strategy we used was to play as much as we could on the counter.

After the game, Ruben Amorim praised his players for playing against  Arsenal team that had contested Liverpool for the championship this year, reports Daily Star.
