Manchester United has had a few successful weeks under Ruben Amorim after weeks of hardship, drawing with Liverpool in the Premier League and then defeating Arsenal on penalties to advance to the FA Cup.
The Red Devils will be heartened by their recent form improvement, but Amorim appears to be a man with a level head who understands that they are still a work in progress and must now find consistency.
With the January transfer window still open, United could make moves in the transfer market to sign players who will help the manager achieve the level of consistency that he seeks.
Manchester United were interested in signing Goncalo Inacio from Sporting CP in the summer, but the Seleccao star opted to stay with the Lions.
Ten Hag then moved in to lure the likes of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt to improve the central defense.

Now, with Amorim in charge at Old Trafford, as per Maisfutebol, Man Utd have submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy in the summer for £33.6million to Sporting CP to finally secure the signing of Goncalo Inacio.
Amorim knows Inacio well from his time in Lisbon. He is a tall, left-footed center-back who is very good with the ball at his feet and can provide excellent cover for Lisandro Martinez while also playing alongside him.

With the Portuguese strategist seeking to persuade the Manchester United players to adapt to his system, what better way to achieve so then adding players who have already played and flourished under his tutelage?
If Manchester United does sign Goncalo Inacio, he will be a great addition to the squad. However, it remains to be seen whether Sporting CP will accept a loan-to-buy agreement midseason.
