Manchester City officials believe they have completed a deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to reports.
According to The Sun, Pep Guadiola looks to have made his first signing as City manager by completing a £30million move for the German international.
Director of football Txiki Begiristain and incoming manager Guardiola have already met with Gundogan, and the deal is set to be announced at the end of the season.
Gundogan has emerged as one of the top midfielders in Europe during his five years at Dortmund, scoring 10 goals in 103 appearances for the Bundesliga giants.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to City, with reports suggesting he will replace outgoing midfielder Yaya Toure.
Gundogan has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal, after it was announced he would not be renewing his contract at Dortmund.
But now a summer switch to the Etihad Stadium has reportedly been agreed as Guardiola begins his rebuilding programme at City.
