Manchester City may settle for less than €20 million in order to get rid of defender Joao Cancelo, after once again lowering their asking price.
Sport Witness claims that although Manchester City is practically accepting proposals for the Portuguese full-back, Barcelona has not yet responded.
Cancelo’s exit from Manchester City is being accelerated this summer in order to prevent him from playing in their preseason games.
They have been making offers to other teams for the player and have now decreased their demands about his asking price once more.
The Premier League winners had demanded €30 million at the beginning of the summer, but there is now hope that a deal might be reached for less than €20 million total.
Even at the lower price, Barcelona, where he was on loan during the previous season, has not responded. They refuse to budge and will only consider a lending arrangement that includes a buyout option.

Juventus has “gone all in” for him in an attempt to persuade both the player and Manchester City to agree to a deal, since this has opened the way for them to go forward.
They want a loan as well; in fact, they want the exact same thing as Barcelona, and according to rumors from Italy, they may make the last few moves toward obtaining one this week.
Cancelo, on the other hand, is not in a haste to resolve his situation and is certain that Manchester City would ultimately grant his request and let him to return to Barcelona on loan.
