Manchester City’s Premier League fixtures for the 2016/17 season

Manchester City‘s Premier League fixtures for the 2016/17 season has been announced and Pep Guardiola starts his spell in charge with a home game against Sunderland.

Guardiola was announced as City’s new manager back in February and supporters have been excited for the new season ever since as Guardiola has dominated both Spanish and German football with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard has already signed Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund and is expected to spend a lot more money this summer to get his squad ready for the new season and a renewed title challenge.

He starts his spell in charge of the Manchester club with a home game against Sunderland and will follow that up with a trip to Stoke City the next week.

His first taste of the Manchester derby, where he’ll face old foe Jose Mourinho in the dugout, comes on September 10th at Old Trafford before the return fixture takes place at the Etihad on February 25th.

Guardiola locked horns with Jurgen Klopp plenty of times in the Bundesliga but his first game against the German and his Liverpool side comes on December 31st at Anfield.

Guardiola faces Chelsea for the first time on December 3rd and will take on Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal on December 17th as well.

The Spaniard will finish his first season in charge of City against Watford at Vicarage Road. Their final home game comes a week prior against the reigning champions, Leicester City.
