Protests against the Glazers have disrupted the Manchester United 2023-34 season home kit launch.
To coincide with the release of the new jersey, a United fan organization named “The 1958″ organized a demonstration against the team’s American owners in front of a Manchester megastore. About 30 protestors carrying signs and singing anti-Glazer slogans gathered at the megastore, with the police present.
Additionally, the 1958 group has demanded a boycott of Adidas, which has been producing United’s jerseys since 2015. Over the last year, the group has organized a number of anti-Glazer demonstrations to voice its displeasure with the way the family has managed the club.

The New Manchester United Jersey
Aitch, a Manchester rapper, gave an early look of United’s new jersey at the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend. The new kit features the trademark Adidas triple stripes running down the shoulders in black.
The crew neck collar comes with red, white, and black detailing and contains a Lancashire rose on the inside.
The rose also features on the torso of the kit, with geometric designs of the flower that supposedly take inspiration from the bridge between the Lancashire cities of Manchester and Salford that was built during the industrial revolution.
“The undying support and connection that Manchester United fans have with their club and city is unique, and for this season’s iteration of the home jersey, we’ve drawn inspiration from just that by celebrating the city’s industrial heritage,” says Adidas design director Inigo Turner.

United’s 2023-24 sleeve sponsor is IT services company DXC Technology, which partnered with the club in July 2022 on a multi-year deal.
The shirt’s central sponsor remains Teamviewer despite the club and software company agreeing to end their five-year contract in December 2022.
United retain the option to buy back the rights to the club’s front of shirt sponsorship.
Furthermore, they are thought to be in a sale process looking for a new long-term shirt sponsorship to take over from Teamviewer.
