Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly agreed to a summer transfer to Sporting Lisbon, putting Manchester United and Arsenal on notice.
Gyokeres’ amazing run at Sporting has led to speculation that he could join the Premier League or one of Europe’s top clubs. The Swede has 40 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions this season, and he has 83 goals and 25 assists in 91 games for Sprting since joining from Coventry City in 2023 for about £20 million.
Amid the attention, Sky Germany reports that he has verbally decided to quit the Lisbon giants if a bid of £50.2 million to £58.5 million is made in the upcoming transfer window.

Gyokeres’ fans, particularly Arsenal and Manchester United, will be relieved to learn that the price is significantly lower than his rumored £83.6 million release clause.
A move for the 26-year-old this summer is very likely. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea have reportedly been notified of the arrangement. Manchester City are also aware, as their sporting director, Hugo Viana, is expected to relocate to the Etihad this summer.
However, earlier month, Sporting president Frederico Varandas downplayed Gyokoeres’ chances of leaving the club. Varandas avoided answering questions about the Sweden international’s future.
“Gyokeres was leaving in the summer, a year ago, a year and a half ago…” he told me. “Gyokeres was about to go anyway. We were champs, but he was already departing.
According to Portuguese publication A Bola, striker Gyokeres prefers to join Liverpool, Arsenal, or Manchester City over Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window, despite the opportunity to rejoin with Ruben Amorim.
