Manchester United have made a pioneering move in the Premier League by becoming the first club to install male restrooms at Old Trafford.
The club is distributing bins and free products such as pads to address an issue raised by a recent study released on Tuesday by Prostate Cancer UK and the phs Group, which found that half of men suffering from bladder weakness are attending fewer games due to inadequate amenities and concerns about leaks.
One in seven (14%) of those polled said they had quit attending matches entirely due to this issue.
The Red Devils are become the first top-tier team to commit to Gold BOG STANDARD accreditation, indicating adherence to the benchmark for facilities established by Prostate Cancer UK and phs Group to assist men with incontinence.

Prostate cancer affects one in every eight men, and urine incontinence (UI) can be an unpleasant side effect of the treatments required to combat this condition, with many patients coping with this issue for varying periods of time after treatment.
Nick Ridgman, head of support services at Prostate Cancer UK, congratulated Manchester United on their initiative. He stated, “Manchester United’s commitment to supporting men with incontinence is a fantastic step forward, and we hope that their actions will inspire change throughout the football community, from the top of the Premier League to local non-league games.”
“By giving men access to the basic facilities they need, we hope more men will feel confident to get back in the game and back to watching live football matches unhampered by their incontinence.”
