Manchester United Confirm Casemiro Signing From Madrid

Manchester United have just announced the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid in an effort to turn around its season after a difficult start.

Erik ten Hag will be hopeful that Casemiro can provide some much-needed expertise to the United midfield.

The Brazilian won five Champions Leagues in nine years with the Los Blancos.

Casemiro is now Man United’s sixth most expensive signing ever, he comes in for a £59.5m ($70m) fee.

He is said to have signed a contract with the club until 2026.

According to Real Madrid, Casemiro symbolizes the club’s principles and the club will always be his home.

Where Will Casemiro Play?

As he did at Madrid, Casemiro will sit in front of the defense and assist in guarding the back four.

Casemiro will undoubtedly have an impact because Ten Hag’s team now appears to be with a player who is a natural in this position.

He’ll be looking to form a partnership with his international teammate Fred, as well as Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen.

They will hope his great expertise relieves them of the defensive burden, allowing them to focus on their attacking abilities.

Who Else Are Man Utd Looking To Sign?

Casemiro is United’s fourth summer acquisition, following Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez.

Sergino Dest and Yannick Carrasco are both targets for the Red Devils as they attempt to bolster their team.

Matheus Cunha, Carrasco’s teammate at Atletico Madrid, has also caught United’s attention, although it’s thought a three-figure fee may be required to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford.

Both PSV’s Coady Gakpo and Ajax’s Antony have been prominently linked to the Manchester team. The latter is reportedly worth more than £90 million to his club, possibly alienating interest from United.
