According to Caughtoffside, Manchester United is reportedly interested in Real Sociedad’s standout player Takefusa Kubo for the summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.
After departing Real Madrid in 2022, the Japan international, one of La Liga’s best young wingers, has made an impact for Sociedad.
In the previous season, Kubo participated in 44 games and recorded an impressive nine goals and nine assists. He has maintained his excellent play this season with six goals and four assists in 25 games.
His progress has apparently caught the attention of the Red Devils, who plan to sign him in the summer for his rumored £51 million release clause.
United will have to put in a lot of effort to convince the 22-year-old to part ways because he is determined to play for the Basque team next season.
In 67 games, Antony has only contributed 13 goals, showing little evidence of his value since arriving at the Red Devils in 2022 for a reported £85 million from Ajax.
Kubo has managed to contribute to twice as many goals in the same amount of time (28), and the Red Devils might try to get his signature if Antony decides to leave.

Kubo is a versatile player who can play in the front two as well as on the right flank. It remains to be seen if United can persuade him to join them. Perhaps Antony’s departure will act as a trigger. The Red Devils are demanding at least £50 million in order to release Antony.
