Manchester United are allegedly in pole position to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen in what could be a Premier League record-breaking transfer deal.
According to Team Talk, the Red Devils appear to be ahead of Chelsea in the race to recruit the Nigeria international as a result of financial mismanagement by Blues chief Todd Boehly.
According to the source, Manchester United are aiming to recruit a top striker this summer, with Osimhen maybe considered as a better investment than Tottenham forward Harry Kane.
Overall, Osimhen might cost as much as £133 million, making him the most expensive Premier League acquisition ever, as well as Napoli’s greatest ever sale.
After a successful season in which he scored 21 goals in 25 Serie A appearances, the 24-year-old appears to be well worth the outlay.

United certainly need someone like that to relieve pressure on Marcus Rashford as their main goal threat, and Chelsea would have done well to bring him in as well.
The Blues have been in dire form this term as they head for a mid-table finish, and Osimhen could have been ideal to come in as an upgrade on flops like Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz.
