Erik Ten Haag is ready to sign a second goalkeeper to put further pressure on first-choice David de Gea. The Spaniard struggled in last month’s 4-0 loss to Brentford, and has come under fire a lot recently.
The news about Dubravka comes after Frankfurt goalie, Kevin Trapp says he turned down a move to United.
“Manchester United are a world class team and that I consider it and think about it is something, I am sure, everyone can understand. Yesterday, however, I informed both clubs that I decided for Eintracht,” he said.
Manchester United official proposal to Newcastle for Martin Dubravka is for loan move until June 2023. Just been told it also includes buy option clause discussed between the two clubs, around £5m. 🚨🔴 #MUFC

Will Dubravka Go To Manchester United?
After Nick Pope’s arrival to St. James’ Park, Dubravka has seen himself become No. 2. He was left out of the team for their Carabao Cup match against Tranmere on Wednesday.
Following Dean Henderson’s loan move to Nottingham Forest, Manchester United are looking for a goalkeeper to compete with David de Gea and Tom Heaton.
Dubravka is believed to be open to the move and there shouldn’t be any issues regarding personal terms.
Newcastle United officials and his representatives are expected to hold discussions this week, though no deal has yet been reached between the two teams. Newcastle’s contract with Dubravka expires in 2025.
