According to reports, Manchester United have not initiated talks to buy Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.
Despite the fact that United is on the verge of returning to the Champions League, head coach Erik ten Hag is eager to bolster his forward line in the summer.
Spurs’ Harry Kane, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
However, there have been conflicting claims about how much United is willing to – and can – spend on a new attacker while still undergoing a takeover process.
However, it has recently been reported that the Red Devils are considering making an official move for Neymar during the next transfer window.
According to a story in L’Equipe, conversations have already begun amongst the key parties in order to complete what would obviously be a difficult transaction.
Nonetheless, the Daily Mail reports that no conversations are taking place between United and PSG, and the former is not currently planning to declare an interest.
Neymar’s future at Parc des Princes has been a hot topic of discussion, with PSG fans recently calling for his departure by hurling obscenities at the star outside his home.
The 31-year-old has not played for PSG since February 19, due to a season-ending ankle injury that has left club management increasingly sceptical that keeping the Brazil international is in everyone’s best interests.
Although Neymar chipped in with 15 goals and 13 assists in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this campaign, he made just 24 starts and two substitute outings in those competitions.

Chelsea has been linked to Neymar, despite their inability to clinch European football for 2023-24 will almost certainly go against them.
