Manchester United Reach Agreement To End Deal With Sponsor

Manchester United have reached an agreement with TeamViewer to end deal and search for a new front-of-shirt sponsor.

The German software company have a five-year partnership with the Premier League giants that runs until 2026 and is worth £47m per year, or £235m in total.

However the company have announced that they’ve struck ‘a mutually-beneficial agreement’ with the club which allows United the option of buying back the rights to the shirt sponsorship.

It would then mean that this front-of-shirt spot could be sold to another interested party instead.

This comes after the news that the Glazer family are looking to sell the club.

And TeamViewer believe this makes the arrangement mutually beneficial.

A TeamViewer statement read: “After a period of collaborative, private discussions over the past months, Manchester United and TeamViewer AG have reached a mutually-beneficial agreement under which Manchester United shall have the option to buy back the rights to the club’s shirt front sponsorship.

“This will allow Manchester United to commence a focused sales process for a new long-term shirt front partner with the expectation for TeamViewer to transition out of this role as soon as practicably possible.
