Antoine Griezmann envisages himself playing for Atletico Madrid next season.
The France international has been widely linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months, and according to Squawka News the Red Devils are confident of beating Chelsea to a record-breaking deal.
However, while United may be comfortable with the proposed financial packages, the player may ultimately choose to remain in the Spanish capital.
Indeed, despite his wonderful form for Atletico, Griezmann is yet to win a major trophy under Diego Simeone, while the club are set to move stadium this summer.
Reflecting on the ongoing questions over his future, the No.7 said, as reported by AS: “It’s always the same question and I now don’t know what to say.
“I find myself repeating myself and I certainly see myself here. I feel it’s an answer that I’ve given so many times now but that very question is quite tiring.”
Though his spectacular 2016 – which included runs to the Champions League and European Championships finals – was difficult to match, Griezmann has still proven to be Atletico’s star player this term.
He is their top scorer across La Liga (14) and the Champions League (four), while also retaining his place as Didier Deschamps’ nominal centre-forward for France.
