Mason Mount insists he is ‘all OK’ despite suffering a serious head injury in Manchester United’s crushing defeat to Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.
The 25-year-old began the match on the bench and was introduced before half-time following Bruno Fernandes’ red card and injury to teammate midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
Mount injected energy to the United midfield but was unable to help them claw back into the game as Tottenham raced up 3-0 and could have scored many more.

To cap off a disappointing day, Mount sustained a head injury in the final five minutes of the game after challenging Spurs defender Radu Dragusin for the ball. It meant the substitute had to be replaced himself, with forward Amad Diallo taking over for the final few minutes.
Ten Hag was unable to provide any information about Mainoo’s or Mount’s injuries following the match. “I can’t say in this moment,” he told MUTV. “I’ll find out, but when a player leaves before halftime, there are some issues.
“Also, I have seen how Mason came off. He was bleeding so it’s clear there are some problems there and we have to see how they recover in the coming days.”
While an update on Mainoo is expected later on Monday, teammate Mount has already allayed fears about his injuries by stating that his collision was mild. He posted a picture of himself undergoing treatment on social media, writing, “I’m all good, just a scratch. Thank you for all the messages.
