Mane says Salah is a “great pleasure” to play alongside

Sadio Mane says Liverpool team mate Mo Salah is a brilliant player despite their “disagreements” from time to time. The dynamic duo have shone for the Reds this season as they currently sit top of the Premier League table after 11 games.
They are unbeaten and a draw away at Manchester United has been their only blemish to a flawless domestic campaign so far.
Mane and Salah have been in outstanding goalscoring form and have helped propel Jurgen Klopp’s men six points clear of the rest at the top.
The Senegalese forward has six goals in all competitions this season, while Salah has netted five.
After their 3-0 win away at Burnley however, there was some speculation that the pair had fallen out due to an altercation when Mane was substituted.
When Salah elected to shoot rather than pass to his team mate who was in a better position, Mane made his feelings known to the bench when he was withdrawn.
However, the pair put the incident behind them and have greatly contributed to Liverpool’s start to the season.
They will hope to continue their great form against Genk at Anfield on Tuesday evening in the Champions League, as they aim to leapfrog Napoli to go top of Group E.
And, Mane says there is now no issue with Salah and added he is great to play alongside. “He’s a crazy goalscorer and an exceptional player who can do everything,” the 27-year-old told France Football. “We have sometimes had our disagreements, but it remains a great pleasure to play beside him because I have the feeling we speak the same type of football.”
Liverpool head into what could be a crucial week before the international break as they face Manchester City t home after their game against Genk.
A win for the Reds would take them nine points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side and put them in an enviable position to win the title – which would be their first-ever in the Premier League era.
