The availability of Manuel Neuer for Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Arsenal is uncertain.
Following a successful recovery from a broken leg, the 37-year-old has made 24 appearances for Bayern this season. He received a call-up to the German national team for the next international break because of his outstanding achievements.

Nevertheless, he is now compelled to miss their friendlies against the Netherlands and France. After the goalie hurt himself during practice on Thursday, the German FA declared his withdrawal.
In a statement, they said that Manuel Neuer would not be playing in the next two international matches because of a ruptured muscle fiber in his left adductor. That morning while exercise, he was hurt. Manu, get better soon.
In an interview with The Athletic, the veteran said that he told his Bayern team-mates about his skiing injury in their WhatsApp group and apologised for the incident.
Bayern also confirmed Neuer has been sidelined and revealed he will now return to the club to commence his recovery. They added that the diagnosis was made by the German national team’s medical unit.
“Manuel Neuer has torn a muscle in his left adductor while training with the German national team,” the Bundesliga giants said in a statement.
“The diagnosis was confirmed by the DFB medical unit. The FC Bayern captain will therefore miss the upcoming friendlies against France and the Netherlands and return to Munich.
Meanwhile at Bayern, Sven Ulreich would be the next man to step into Neuer’s shoes, with Daniel Peretz their other senior option. Neuer’s injury comes after Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel lamented the difficulty of his side’s draw.
