Marc Cucurella has been selected as the best left-back at Euro 2024 following an incredible performance for the Spaniard.
Throughout the last seven games, Cucurella started six of them. He was especially successful down the left side, where Spain’s style was characterized by his combination play with Nico Williams.
He allowed the crafty Williams to thrive by underlining and overlapping runs, which gave Luis de la Fuente’s club an additional edge.

In seven games, Spain let up just four goals and gave Italy, Germany, France, and England relatively little opportunities to score.
Cucurella, a Chelsea player who has followed his countrymen Juan Mata and Fernando Torres in winning the Euros with Spain, saved his best for last.
Just over four minutes remained in the match, it was Cucurella’s teasing low left-wing delivery that Mikel Oyarzabal turned past Jordan Pickford and into the net to win Euro 2024 for Spain.
Cucurella’s first assist for Spain was achieved in this fashion and it was a perfect way to cap off an incredible tournament for our left-back, who had just secured his spot in the starting lineup the night before.
