Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in securing the signature of Crystal Palace defender, Marc Guehi ahead of the summer transfer window.
Given that the team is expected to compete in the UEFA Champions League again next season, United have been predicted to recruit defensive players this summer.
This season, Lisandro Martnez and Raphael Varane have established a tenacious defensive pairing for Erik ten Hag’s team. But their replacements have not been as well-received.
Liverpool, however, have had a bizarre, erratic season that has resulted in no trophies and a likely failure to make it to the Champions League.
In the off-season, Jurgen Klopp will make a number of adjustments to his side. With center-back being one of several areas that requires attention.
This is why Guehi has been linked to both teams.
Liverpool, according to the Mail Online are reportedly interested in signing Guehi after the 22-year-old completed another outstanding campaign at Selhurst Park.
His stellar performances have won him a lot of admirers; in fact, United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in acquiring the central defender.
Guehi, who has played 39 times for the Eagles this season, is valued at £50 million. This may exceed Liverpool’s summer spending limit considering the club’s preference for midfield reinforcements.

Palace manager, Roy Hodgson, has suggested that Guehi has the potential to lead the Three Lions at some point in reference to the three-cap England international.
“It would not surprise me, with the guy’s quality. But let’s just let him play football first and continue being a top, top Premier League player at Crystal Palace. Let’s see how long that lasts. Let’s see when his first England matches take place and go on from there,” Hodgson said.
