Marco Reus has revealed Borussia Dortmund’s battle plan to stop Manchester City’s in-form attacker Erling Haaland in the Champions League.
Before his move to City, Reus and Haaland had a productive partnership at Dortmund for an entire season and a half.
The 22-year-old will meet up with Reus and the rest of his former teammates on Wednesday night when the Bundesliga team arrives at the Etihad Stadium.
What Did Reus Say On Haaland?
The German international has praised Haaland’s impressive run of play since he joined City from BVB. Erling Haaland has scored 12 goals in seven games in all competitions for Manchester City.

Reus, however, maintains that the threat from the Norwegian can be neutralized on the field, but he does admit that it “not be easy.”
“It’s simply sensational how he is performing at the moment in Manchester,” Reus said. “It helps that his teammates are not the worst!
“How do you stop him? Good question. It’s not easy to stop him. One of the keys is not to be too late with your decisions, to be good at anticipating what is going to happen.

“You have to stay close to him to be able to stop him as much as possible for 90 minutes. Then you just have to hope he doesn’t have his best day.”
Man City welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad Stadium today 14 September, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 WAT.
