Earlier this month, Amorim was named United’s next manager to take Erik ten Hag’s place in the Old Trafford dugout.

On Monday, the 39-year-old led training at Carrington for the first time while collaborating with a few United players.

After missing out on international duty this month, Rashford was the only member of the United team present during training.

In the next days, the United academy graduate will try to make a case to start in Amorim’s first lineup as the team’s new head coach.

Prior to this weekend’s return to Premier League play, United’s training is anticipated to intensify over the coming days.

On Sunday, Amorim’s United team will travel to play Ipswich Town in his debut game as head coach, reports Manchester Evening.

Rashford responded to the first training session on social media, marking the formal start of the Amorim era at United.

Rashford posted a photo of himself participating in the training session at Carrington along with the caption, “Top session today,” on his Instagram story.

Amorim’s first training session included Rashford and nine other members of the United first team. Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, Jonny Evans, Casemiro, Antony, Tom Heaton, Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw were among the players who joined the England international at Carrington.
