Marcus Rashford was taken off early in the second half of Wednesday night’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, but Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Rashford is okay.
Alejandro Garnacho was sent on to replace Rashford, who had already scored six minutes into the match, after he was elbowed in the chest in the 57th minute.

Afterwards, Wout Weghorst and Bruno Fernandes added goals for United to further punish Forest ahead of the second leg next week.
Meanwhile, Rashford’s withdrawal had raised concerns that United’s hot-shot attacker had developed an issue after the collision. However, according to Ten Hag, the 25-year-old’s early substitution was pre-planned and the England international is well.
Speaking about the incident after the match, the Dutchman told Sky Sports: “We had already planned the substitute. Marcus Rashford did his job and scored another goal so we were in a good position.

“Alejandro Garnacho is really hungry to play games and to get minutes and also to come into the team.”
After plundering 10 goals in his last 10 games, Rashford has been influential in Manchester United’s recent run of form and Ten Hag is likely to lean heavily on the versatile forward in the coming weeks.
Ten Hag lavished plenty of praise on his “unstoppable” star forward after the match.
