Manchester United Star Marcus Rashford has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.
The 24-year-old, whose future in the Manchester United team had been called into doubt following an unsatisfactory 2021-22 season, bounced back this month to assist Erik ten Hag’s side win both of their September top-flight matches.
The death of Queen Elizabeth II resulted in a shortened Premier League schedule this month, but Rashford still managed to score twice and assist twice in his two games.

The England international, who missed the last international break due to injury, set up Jadon Sancho’s winning goal against Leicester City earlier this month before scoring twice and collecting another assist against Arsenal.
It is Rashford’s second time receiving the award. He got it for the first time in January 2019.
Rashford’s performances were sufficient for him to be awarded player of the month for the first time since January 2019.
Other players nominated for the award included Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing, Everton attacker Alex Iwobi, and Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey.
Christian Eriksen was selected United’s player of the month by fans owing to his outstanding performance in four games. Eriksen started in the Europa League defeat to Real Sociedad and win over FC Sheriff, both of which Rashford missed due to a muscle injury.

Rashford is yet to train with United this week, and it is uncertain whether he will be available for Sunday’s Manchester derby against City.
The 24-year-old has previously scored twice at the Etihad, both times in United triumphs.
United have nine games scheduled in October in preparation for the World Cup, which begins on November 20.
