Marcus Rashford has reaffirmed his claim to his best position as he approaches the Manchester United exit door.
Following a tumultuous few days, the Red Devils academy graduate’s future remains uncertain. It was recently reported that United were considering bids for Rashford before he was shockingly left out of the Manchester derby team.
The forward has since broken his silence, revealing that he is considering moving away from Old Trafford. With two weeks until the January transfer window begins, this could become a reality sooner rather than later. Reported By Mirror.
Meanwhile, Rashford has communicated with prospective interested clubs, as well as current manager Ruben Amorim, about his position in the team. He has stated that he is significantly more comfortable on the left flank, which may be tough under the Portuguese coach, who uses two number 10s instead of typical wide players.

Rashford said Henry Winter, “I have the ability to play in all three positions.” Some positions come more naturally to me, while others require further training and tactical study. The left side is most comfortable for me.”
He continued, “The left 10 still suits me, but you must alter your game. The greatest skill set is adaptability. People may not notice that right away, but they will soon realize I’ve played in a variety of positions under all of the managers.”
Rashford has previously spoken out about his preferred position. He also claimed that under former manager Erik ten Hag, he was more comfortable on the left.
In 2023, the England star stated: “[I prefer to play] left wing, although I feel like [when I play] centre-forward you have less distance to cover to score simple goals.
