Arsenal has reportedly contacted Manchester United about a January trade for Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has fallen out of favour with the United squad following a rough month at Old Trafford. In mid-December, he was dropped from the Premier League squad that traveled to Manchester City.
A few days later, an interview with Rashford was released, in which the winger stated that he would be open to pursue a fresh challenge outside of Old Trafford. Following that, Rashford was left out of the squads that lost to Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He would return to the bench for the final game of 2024 at home against Newcastle, although he missed the game against Liverpool on Sunday due to illness. Meanwhile, Rashford’s agent and brother Dane are said to be in Italy looking for a transfer.

AC Milan appear to be the favourites, but journalist Massimo Marianella told Sky Italia that the Serie A giants are now facing competition from Arsenal for his signature. “It appears that Arsenal has made a phone call to Manchester United for Rashford,” Marianella reports [via Sport Witness].
“The club has valued him at €25m (£20.9m).” Arsenal had previously been linked with a transfer for Rashford.
As recently as last summer, the Gunners were rumored to be interested in signing Rashford if he became available, but that never happened. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make their interest in an offer formal, as well as whether they are open to either a loan or a permanent move.
