Additionally, cameras caught a fantastic moment during a training practice when Man United youngster Ethan Wheatley embarrassed his teammate Marcus Rashford.
This season, Ten Hag has frequently used Wheatley as substitute and he has traveled to Istanbul with a 20-man team.
He flew to the Turkish capital to practice with the first team, along with young defense players Harry Amass and Habeeb Ugonneye.
The 18-year-old also won a feather in his cap by nutmegging the United No. 10 to a roaring response, leaving Rashford red-faced during a fierce rondo.
Alongside Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Rasmus Hojlund, Wheatley was a member of the outer circle, which included a mix of senior and academy names.
Wheatley put the ball through the legs of Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee after he received a pass under pressure, reports Express
Incredulous, Rashford briefly stopped the training exercise and left the circle, holding his head in his hands.
The 26-year-old joined his teammates in laughing and smiling about the episode, which will undoubtedly be used against him in future dressing room banter. It was all in good humor.
