Mason Greenwood Makes His Loan Move Preference Clear To Manchester United

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood is waiting for the club to make decision on his future.

If the club decides to let Greenwood go out on loan, recent reports indicate that he has stated wish to stay in England.

After being accused of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control, the 21-year-old forward’s future at Old Trafford has been in doubt. The Crown Prosecution Service, however, withdrew the accusations in February of this year.

And now that his career has stalled, the youngster is keen to restart it.

Greenwood has stated that he would prefer not to relocate, especially after just becoming father, while United conducts their own investigation into the situation.

Greenwood is likely to stay in England if he joins a new club despite interest from clubs abroad, particularly in Italy, according to reports. According to manager Erik ten Hag, who  inherited the situation but has yet to collaborate with Greenwood, the final choice remains with the club.

Ten Hag stated: “It’s a club decision. Of course I have said my ideas and opinions but it’s a club decision. We all have to accept that.”

Greenwood, a product of United’s academy, made his debut for the club as a teenager under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Since then, he has made over 100 appearances for the Old Trafford side and scored 35 goals. He has also earned one cap for England.

Despite not featuring for the Red Devils for over a year, Greenwood has been training to maintain his fitness and prepare for a potential comeback.
