Mason Greenwood hopes to join Marseille alongside former Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba, who has been linked with several clubs since his contract with Juventus was terminated in November.
The 31-year-old may also be tempted to sign a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia. Pogba returned to Juventus in 2022 after spending six years during his second spell.
Pogba recently discussed his next move, saying: “There are propositions, some of which are attractive and some not so much. Russia, for example, has made recommendations, but that is not the goal.
We have different goals. A club competing in the Champions League? Why not? If it arrives, why not?
‘We’re always looking to join the top clubs. After that, it doesn’t depend on me; it depends on a variety of other factors.

While Pogba evaluates his options, Greenwood has stated that it would be ‘wonderful’ if the Frenchman joined him at Ligue 1 club Marseille.
In a rare public interview with French source Telefoot, Greenwood said, “He’s a great man, professional, who has taken me under his wing.”
‘He is a fantastic player. Any team in Europe would be thrilled to have him. If he came here, it would be fantastic.
Greenwood signed a five-year contract with Marseille last summer after being released by Manchester United in the summer of 2023.
The 23-year-old ex-England international was released following the club’s six-month investigation into his actions.
Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 on suspicions related to content uploaded online.
