Mason Mount is back to full training at Manchester United after taking a recent injury leave.
According to the club update, Mount will not be hurried back but should be ready for new boss Ruben Amorim during the international break after working out with his colleagues on Monday at Carrington.
After replacing Kobbie Mainoo at halftime in United’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham in late September, Mount left the game before the end due to a collision with Radu Dragusin that also resulted in a gash to his head.
The 25-year-old has missed the previous seven games, including Sunday’s tie at Old Trafford against his old team, Chelsea.
During that period, manager Erik ten Hag was fired and Ruud van Nistelrooy was named temporary manager until November 11 when Amorim took over.
Mount has only made 25 appearances in 16 months since joining United from Chelsea in July of last year due to a string of injuries, most notably a calf ailment that sidelined him for four months during the previous campaign.
Tyrell Malacia, a Holland defender recovering from an 18-month layoff following knee surgery, participated in Monday’s practice as well.
Malacia hasn’t played for United since May 2023, reports Mail Online
Injuries have also kept Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, and Harry Maguire out.
