According to Football Espana, In the last week of the transfer window, Atletico Madrid has been strongly linked to multiple moves, but they have also made a bid for another midfield player. One of their main players, Matt O’Riley of the Celtics, participated in the Champions League matchup against Los Rojiblancos this season.
Along with the recent arrival of goalkeeper Horatiu Moldovan from Rapid Bucharest, negotiations are also underway to sign Arthur Vermeeren of Royal Antwerp and Moise Kean of Juventus. According to SkySports, Los Rojiblancos have expressed interest in O’Riley and have made a loan offer with a summer purchase obligation.

O’Riley has also been linked to Premier League teams, though it is unclear how much Atletico has offered in terms of a purchase obligation. Given Diego Simeone’s already potent midfield, it would come as a surprise if Los Colchoneros signed both O’Riley and Vermeeren this winter. It has been observed that Atleti is making these offers while still extending an offer to Koke Resurreccion that is significantly less than what he is asking for.
