PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has dismissed rumors that he wants to leave the French club in the January transfer window.
Mbappe is reportedly dissatisfied in Paris and searching for an escape, according to a number of papers published in France and Spain.
When the reports first sprung up last week before of a Champions League match, the World Cup winner claimed he was stunned by them.
“I’m very happy, I have never asked to leave in January,” Mbappe told reporters at the Parc des Princes stadium after PSG defeated Marseille 1-0.
“Some people might think I was involved in this, but I was not at all. I was as shocked as anyone else. I just wanted to say that it’s completely untrue.”
This summer, Mbappe came very close to signing for Real Madrid on a free transfer. However, he ultimately decided to commit to PSG for two more years with an option for an additional year.
