Manchester United have identified Bruno Amorim, the manager of Sporting Lisbon, as their top target to replace Erik ten Hag, who was fired on Monday.
The Red Devils chose to fire the Dutchman, who had spent two and a half years at Old Trafford, following a poor start to the season, with only four wins in their first 13 games in all competitions. Ruud van Nistelrooy has been appointed interim manager, but United have moved quickly to find a permanent replacement in Amorim, who has ‘accepted’ to become their new manager.

United are presently negotiating a compensation package to bring him to the club immediately, with the club eager to make a move amidst interest from Manchester City, who see him as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola. Amorim has previously flirted with a move to England, with arch rivals Liverpool and West Ham both interested in his talents.Reported By Daily Star.
The 39-year-old has made an impressive rise to become one of Europe’s top young managers. He spent nine years playing for Sporting’s rivals Benfica before a career-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury at the age of 29 led him into management.
He was first impressed by former United manager Jose Mourinho’s achievements at Porto, Inter, and Chelsea, and even undertook an internship with the special one. Despite this, he has tactically matured to play in a high-intensity, possession-based system with a fluid 3-4-3 structure.
Henrique was the mastermind behind Neymar’s world-record transfer from Barcelona to the French capital, and he first urged Kylian Mbappe to stay at the club before leaving for Real Madrid.
