Lionel Messi and Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni have come to an agreement over his future with the national team. Scaloni stated that Messi “wants to play” in the upcoming World Cup.
Argentina has benefited greatly from the Inter Miami forward’s contributions over the years, including their most recent World Cup triumph, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
According to The Mirror, in an interview with DSports, Scaloni offered some hope despite supporters’ concerns that the 37-year-old icon may have made his farewell appearance on football’s biggest stage.
Scaloni said: “The first thing to say is that both Messi and his team-mates are aware that there is still a reasonable amount of time left. Messi and the rest of the team want to play in the World Cup.
