Ahead of the World Cup final, Theo Hernandez has made a rather daring claim, stating that Lionel Messi does not scare him or his French teammates.
In the Wednesday semi-final, Randal Kolo Muani came off the bench to complete France’s 2-0 victory over Morocco, with Hernandez scoring the game’s first goal.
The defending champions and Messi’s Argentina, who easily defeated Croatia in their own semifinal on Tuesday night, will face off in a thrilling tournament final.
However, Hernandez has said he isn’t worried about Messi, despite the PSG star having an incredible tournament in Qatar with five goals and three assists.
The AC Milan full-back recognises that Argentina are an impressive outfit, but says that Messi does not frighten him or the rest of his France team.
