Narcis Pelach left the team last month to become the new manager of Stoke, and Wilshere has accepted to take his place at Carrow Road.
As Norwich head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup advances in his coaching career, the former Gunners staff will work under him.
Wilshere departs with the club’s approval, according to Arsenal manager Arteta, who also says, “He’s been great.”
“Everyone is aware of his character, career, and very unique personality.
“His attachments to the football club are unique. He has this aura and charisma and a way of connecting with people.
In October of last year, Wilshere allegedly applied for the Aberdeen position and had discussions with the Colorado Rapids, an MLS team, about taking over as their head coach.
Shortly after retiring, the 32-year-old started working with the Arsenal academy in the summer of 2022. With his first season as manager, he guided his team to the FA Youth Cup final before losing to West Ham, reports Standard.
After struggling with injuries in the later years of his career, coaching has rekindled Wilshere’s passion for the game.
