Mikel Arteta Shares Bad News To Arsenal Fans Following Their Victory Against Luton Town

Takehiro Tomiyasu will be out for a long, according to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, following Friday night’s triumph against Luton Town.

Last night, the Gunners won in spectacular fashion at Kenilworth Road. Declan Rice headed in the winner with almost the last kick of the game, and Arsenal’s celebrations after the final whistle were fantastic to behold. The enthusiasm, however, faded after Arteta gave the dreadful news about Tomiyasu.Reported by mirror .

Mikel Arteta claims Arsenal’s Takehiro Tomiyasu has been injured

In recent weeks, Takehiro Tomiyasu has become one of Arsenal’s top performers.

When Ben White was injured, the Japan international was given a chance. He was so effective during that time that the England defender had to settle for a bench position even once he recovered.

Unfortunately for Tomiyasu, he went down holding his calf in last weekend’s triumph over Wolves. Everyone hoped he was just being cautious, but there is some bad news now.

Mikel Arteta said yesterday that Tomiyasu had calf scans, which revealed that he had suffered injury. As a result, he will be out of commission for some time.

The Spaniard said after the game last night, as per Arsenal. “We had a scan, and it’s not good news. He’s got an injury in his calf, and he’s going to be out for a while.”

Tomiyasu will be a big miss for Arsenal

Takehiro Tomiyasu was having his best spell in an Arsenal shirt over the last few weeks.

The Japan international has performed brilliantly for the Gunners in both full-back positions, and he offers them cover in the heart of the defence as well.

Tomiyasu will be a big miss for Arsenal, especially if he cannot be back in time for the game against Liverpool a couple of days before Christmas.

He is the best equipped at the club to deal with Mohamed Salah, but if he’s not available, Arteta will have to put his faith in Alex Zinchenko to contain the Egyptian.
