In order to make room for James Maddison at the Emirates, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may consider letting Emile Smith Rowe depart.
After falling short of winning the Premier League, Arteta wants to improve his squad. The Gunners gave up an eight-point advantage at the top of the standings, allowing Manchester City to easily win the title. The team led by Pep Guardiola may end the season with a 10-point lead over the Gunners.
Maddison is expected to be available for transfer if Leicester are relegated from the Premier League.
To stay in the top flight, the Foxes, who only won the league title seven years ago, must defeat West Ham at the King Power and hope other teams’ results go their way on the last day.
Arteta is set to say goodbye to a number of Arsenal players this summer, including Granit Xhaka, Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding and Reiss Nelson. Smith Rowe, 22, could also be shown the Emirates door, despite being one of the most popular players among fans.

The England international suffered a serious groin injury in September but has been fit since February, which suggests he may no longer be part of Arteta’s plans.
Smith Rowe was a transfer target for Aston Villa during the summer of 2021 but was persuaded to reject the West Midlands club and sign a new contract at the Emirates.
He then did well last season, scoring 10 goals in 33 Premier League appearances. Yet Smith Rowe’s difficult 2022-23 campaign could be the last of his Arsenal career.
As for Maddison, he seems destined to leave Leicester after their awful campaign.
