Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has warned fans not to be “carried away” by his team’s 4-0 pre-season thrashing of Chelsea.

The North London team made it five wins in five summer friendly with a free-flowing and commanding performance against a mediocre Blues team at the Camping World Stadium.

Arsenal’s goals came from Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Albert Sambi Lokonga, who have also beaten Nuremberg, Everton, Orlando City, and Ipswich Town this summer according to Sportsmole.

What Did Mikel Arteta Say About Arsenal’s Victory?

Arsenal manager Arteta underlined that the four-goal victory over their London rivals had “a lot of positives,” but the Spaniard believes there is still plenty of opportunity for growth.

“As you could see there are a lot of positives to take from the game. The way we played, the intensity we showed, the way we were trying to show who we are as a team. But at the same time, it’s just a test match,” , Arteta stated during the pre-game press conference.

“Don’t get carried away. There are still a lot of things that we have to get better at, and do better. But I think it’s good to get some momentum, finish the tour in the right way, give some enjoyment to our fans and everybody that’s been contributing to make this tour happen.

“There were a lot of positives, there are a lot of things we can do much, much better than we have done today as well and we have to continue to improve as a team.”

Arsenal will now look to make it six wins in six pre-season matches when they face Sevilla in the Emirates Cup on Saturday.
