Mikel Oyarzabal attracts top clubs in Manchester

He scored his debut goal for Real Sociedad on the 8th february, starring in a 5-0 away win against Espanyol.

Manchester city are not the only club interested in Mikel Oyarzabal. According to reports, Manchester United joins race to sign the player who has a release clause of 75 million euros.

The winger will serve as a back-up player on the right wing to replace Mason Greenwood or Marcus Rashford whenever Anthony Martial is rested. Real Sociedad’s captain will likely reject the offer from both clubs if there is no assurance of playing in the first team. The 23 year old playmaker has been outstanding for his club, scoring 10 goals and 11 assists in the current season.

Manchester City are searching for a winger that would provide something different outside. He will likely fill the void created by the transfer move of Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich few weeks ago.

On 19th August 2016, Mikel Oyarzabal renewed his contract until 2022 when Athletic Bilbao tried to sign him during the summer window. He rejected their offer and signed a new contract. A big money move to Manchester seems good enough to convince the playmaker but the release clause on his contract could make it difficult for both clubs in Manchester.
