Jose Mourinho is targeting a double swoop to bring Everton duo Seamus Coleman and Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, reports say.
The Portuguese boss sent top United scouts to watch the pair in action in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and he is now planning a raid on Ronald Koeman’s side.
Coleman was a target for former Red Devils boss David Moyes but Mourinho is keen to finally bring him to Old Trafford, with Matteo Darmian set for a return to Serie A.
In terms of Lukaku, Mourinho has had a change of heart over the Belgian, according to the Independent.
The Portuguese sold the 23-year-old for £28m while he was Chelsea manager and he wasn’t convinced by Lukaku’s ability to become a world-class frontman.
However, he has now performed a U-turn on that decision and believes Lukaku can provide a long-term answer to United’s attack, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic aging and Wayne Rooney out of form.
Lukaku shares the same agent with Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in Mino Raiola and Mourinho hopes that their relationship will help secure a deal.
