Manchester United stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 23 matches after their comfortable 2-0 win at Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
It’s the longest streak in England’s top-flight since the Red Devils went 24 games unbeaten during the 2010/11 season under legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson according to OPTA.

Jose Mourinho’s men can equal that run if they can avoid defeat away to Manchester City in the upcoming derby.
Across those 23 matches, since they were humiliated 4-0 at Stamford Bridge by Chelsea last October, they’ve accumulated 13 wins and 10 draws.
The latter has been costly as it all but ended any hopes of winning a Premier League title in Jose Mourinho’s first season in charge.
United’s win over Burnley, with goals from Anthony Martial and captain Wayne Rooney, has seen them move to within a point of fourth place City who they meet on Thursday.
The longest unbeaten run in the Premier League era was achieved by Arsenal who went 49 games without registering a solitary loss between May 2003 and October 2004 a run United infamously needed.
