Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte’s spat has reached bizarre new levels with a friend of the Manchester United boss taking a swipe at the Chelsea manager’s hair.
The Portuguese and Italian have been at loggerheads ever since their two sides met in October 2016, when Mourinho accused Conte of ‘humilating’ him.
However, the two managers have traded personal blows in recent weeks with the United boss referring to Conte as a “clown” and the Chelsea boss responding by calling Mourinho a “small man”.
Now, in a bizarre twist, Mourinho’s pal from Real Madrid, Eladio Parames, has taken a swipe at Conte through his column in Portuguese publication Record .
After referring to Juventus’ match-fixing scandal, Parames writes: “This man with such a polluted past, now accuses Mourinho, amongst other things, of ‘smallness’.
“He is not only greater than Conte in the number of titles won, but also in… hair!”
During the latter stages of his playing days Conte began thinning on top.
Since the 1994 World Cup – when his hair was arguably at its thinnest – the Italian has had three hair transplants.
With Mourinho having never spent a penny on his hair, Parames clearly felt this was a point worth making.
