Nantes star Simon looking for ‘consistency’

Nantes winger Moses Simon is aiming to be “more consistent” for Nantes as he looks to become one of the top players in France’s Ligue 1. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a decent start to life with Nantes after moving to the club on a season-long loan from Spanish La Liga outfit Levante in the summer.
Simon has scored two goals and recorded one assist in eight league appearances for Christian Gourcuff’s side as they sit second in the table after the opening 10 games.
The Nigerian seems to be recapturing the form he displayed at Belgian side Gent before he made the switch to Levante in summer 2018.
However, Simon feels there is a need to maintain his own performances at Nantes, while he is also keen for the team to keep striving for improvement to remain in the hunt for Champions League qualification.
He said: “We still have a lot of work to do; we need to work hard as a team and I think I have to be more consistent with my performance. “It is important to also focus on the goal of the team which is winning games.”
Nantes can move to within two points of Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain if they win Friday night’s home clash against Monaco.
Victory would also open up a six-point gap between themselves and Marseille who sit outside the Champions League qualification places in fourth spot.
