Napoli Appoint Conte As New Manager

Antonio Conte, the former manager of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, has been appointed as Napoli’s new manager on a three-year contract.

The 54-year-old has not managed since leaving Spurs by mutual consent in March 2023 after 16 months in charge.Reported By SkySports.

Despite a disastrous spell in North London, Conte has had a successful coaching career, having won the Premier League in his first season at Chelsea (2016-17) and the FA Cup in his second before being fired in 2018.

“Napoli is a place of worldwide significance. “I am happy and excited to sit on the blue bench,” Conte stated.

“I can sure promise one thing: I will do everything I can to help the team and the club grow. My dedication, together with that of my staff, it will be total.”

Napoli will not be playing in Europe next season after finishing 10th in Serie A – a year on from winning the league for the first time in 33 years.

“I am very proud that the new coach of Napoli is Antonio Conte”, added Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentis.

“Antonio is a top coach, a leader, with whom I am sure that the necessary refoundation will start after the conclusion of the cycle that led us to win the Scudetto last year after many seasons at the top of Italian football.
