Napoli are considering loaning out defender Leo Ostigard this summer so that he may continue to develop with regular playing time.

During Napoli’s Scudetto-winning season, he failed to break into Luciano Spalletti’s team, seeing only 695 minutes of action in 11 appearances in all competitions.

On page eight of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, it is said that Napoli has begun to receive loan offers for Ostigard, which they are considering accepting so that he can continue his growth.
If they decide to let the 23-year-old go, the club might sign Udinese’s Jaka Bijol to bolster their defense.
In the meantime, Napoli are preparing to lose star centre back Kim Min-Jae to Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants are ready to pay his €50m release clause, and Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini could be brought in to replace him.
Brighton technical director David Weir told the club website: “This transfer is a direct result of dedication and professionalism on the training pitch, day to day and in matches.
“On behalf of the club I would like to wish him well in his future career and for the season ahead.”
